Dr. Carmela Drake is an associate professor and program coordinator for the BS in Rehabilitation Services w/a concentration in Addiction Studies (BSRS) at Alabama State University (ASU). She also serves as the Faculty Athletics Representative for Alabama State University (ASU). She possesses a PhD in Human Services, with a concentration in Counseling Studies from Capella University, two addiction certifications: Certified Adolescent Alcohol and Drug Professional (CAADP) and Certified Compulsive Gambling Counselor, level III (ACGC-III) certifications in the state of Alabama. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervising Counseling (LPC-S) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She has worked in the field of addictions for over 20 years and serves as the President on the Board of Directors for the Council on Substance Abuse-NCADD in Montgomery, AL and the President of ALCA, Chapter VII.
